Project Description

Renfrew Educational Services School is a private school for special needs and typically developing children through the ages of kindergarten to grade 6. Slated for completion and occupancy in July of 1998, this 2300m2 (25,000 sq.ft.) facility incorporates barrier free access and utilizes materials and finishes compatible with the environmentally hypersensitive. The landscaping and playground also accommodate barrier free accessibility.

This new $2.5M facility in Northeast Calgary was designed to celebrate the achievements of the students as well as meet the rigorous budget constraints of a not-for-profit society.

The result is a highly adaptable and functional building, the design of which expresses the unique character of those involved with Renfrew Educational Services.
